TPO
A coating application preferred for most commercial flat roofing projects involve thermoplastic olefin, or TPO, which is a blended material consisting of some degree of elastomer or plastic, combined with thermoplastic. This material is commonly used due to its resistivity to degrade under UV radiation. While factors vary, TPO generally lasts a couple decades and is cheaper than PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) options. TPO is a material that also protects flat roofs from impact resistance from scratching due to debris, tree limbs, and other falling objects.
Rolled Roofing
Perfect for warehouses, garages, and shops, rolled roofing is a win-win for roofers and customers. Rolled roofing is by far one of the most affordable and simple roofing material to install on a roof. We tend to use mineral surface rolls, or MSR, which is a commonly obtained and affordable product that we can bring to any roofing project that may be requiring it. While this material is also commonly used on residential projects, business owners with small structures that have low roofs tend to lean toward MSR rolled roofing because it is easy to manipulate, transport, and to apply, particularly when it comes to irregular and custom structures.
Torch Down
Another common applicator for flat roofing projects as well as low sloped roofs, torch applied roofing is a common technique for commercial projects. Torch down can be dangerous work for roofers. However, this strategy ultimately provides ensured resistance and additional strength that can guarantee a life expectancy of around fifteen years or more if properly maintained. Technically referred to as modified bitumen, roofers utilize an APP torch in applying torch down methods to roofing stems. Call Corpus Christi Roofing today to talk options and to see if our torch down methods are right for your commercial roofing needs.
